About
Satnam!
Photos, photos, photos! I love taking photos. There’s so much science to taking a photo, you know with the rule of thirds, focal points, iso, shutter speed, aperture and much more. But all that science leads to art.. something which invokes a feeling or takes your breath away. I find that fascinating. Like physics. It’s so mathematical, but they explain the laws of this beautifully crafted universe. Complicated or not, whenever I see a beautifully composed photo, it inspires me that much so.
My first well composed photo.. I still remember that. It was at a children’s camp and I remember how I felt when I saw that photo. Ever since then, with the grace of the divine, I have grown in experience in all sorts of ways. I’m continually learning something new and am always open to ideas. There’s always another aspect of a subject which I haven’t tried shooting. Photography is art!
Now I am doing wedding photography. It’s not my main job, it’s a hobby. It’s great to be able to take photos for a couple, photos which they will look back at in 20 years and still remember how they felt in that moment. That’s a gift! Especially for the bride.. it’s uncommon to have a female photographer. Having been in the same position once before, with all the butterflies in the stomach and emotions flying around, I know how the bride feels and try to capture that. The capture isn’t so much in the compotsition but in the eyes! Any budding photographers reading this will understand. The eyes never lie.. It’s all in the eyes.
I am always thankful for my husband – Mr Singh! He was a photographer way before I was and has been taught by some of the best. It’s a blessing to have the same hobby. He taught me full manual from the beginning because I’m not much of a techy. Had I not been taught that way, I’d never have understood about iso and shutter speed and the rest of it. Now, we compliment each other. He’s very technical at taking photos and I’m more creative than he is. Together, we make a great team!
Well thank you for reading about me, maybe next time you could tell me all about yourself!
